Privacy Policy

I’m literally a mercenary science hermit. So, it turns out care a lot about privacy. That’s why you don’t see a popup pretending to care about your cookie settings when you visit the site, with lots of hidden options.

I track anonymized statistics on how you use the site, with Google Analytics. That’s so I can see how people get here, and if they’re hitting broken links or something. That’s it. I’ve even turned off all tracking integration with other Google services where I could. I don’t share the raw data with anyone, but might share a general graph or something.

The only place where your personal data can be shared is in the contact form. So use ProtonMail or whatever for a disposable account, if you don’t want me knowing your real email address.

I might start a newsletter eventually. In that case, it’s opt-in only, and it’s more or less going to be about Vietnamese history. I might start a separate list for product announcements, in case you don’t want those.
